The Jesus and Mary Chain to record new album
Cult rockers The Jesus and Mary Chain are to record their first album since 1998 following their recent reunion for a series of live performances.
The group reformed in April for a performance at California's Coachella Festival, and things have been going so well the band members have now decided to hit the studio.
"The reunion is not necessarily about any nostalgia trip," said frontman Jim Reid. "There will be a new record, otherwise there wouldn't be any point to reforming."
The last Jesus And Mary Chain album was 1998's 'Munki'.
