Streisand's ticket prices attacked in Italy
Superstar Barbara Streisand has come under fire in Italy from consumer groups complaining her show tickets are too expensive.
The Adusbef and Codacons groups are appealing for her Rome performance next month to be cancelled, despite the fact it will be the singer's first ever show in the country.
In a statement released on Monday, the groups moaned ticket prices, which range from $200 to more than $1,200 are "absurd and shameful".
They added the city's 24,000-seat Stadio Flaminio venue "is public property and cannot be used for immoral deals that are shameful to a civilized country".
The Rome date marks the start of Streisand's European tour.
The 65-year-old recently insisted ticket prices for her shows were justified because part of the proceeds will go to her charity, the Barbra Streisand Foundation.
