Kansas City is a must see

In Kansas City (Cinema Club, €19.49) Blondie O’Hara’s (Jennifer Jason Leigh) husband Johnny (Dermot Mulroney) is kidnapped by gangsters, so in desperation she kidnaps the wife of a politician in an attempt to get him to use his influence to free him.

Robert Altman’s ably directed film plays out to a backdrop of jazz and criminality, with great performances from Jason Leigh and Mulroney.
