Legal battle over Anna Nicole's body escalates

The bickering over Anna Nicole Smith spiralled into a post-death legal war, with judges on both US coasts issuing rulings and a parade of lawyers fighting for control of the body.

At the end of yesterday, though, Smith’s remains were still at the Florida medical examiner’s office, and a judge said the dispute could be lengthy.
