Craig Charles returns to Corrie
Actor Craig Charles has returned to 'Coronation Street' after being suspended from the soap following allegations of drug-taking.
The 42-year-old, who plays cab driver Lloyd Mullaney, thanked his colleagues, fans and family for their support and said he was "happy to be back" filming.
Photographs in a tabloid newspaper in June, which showed him apparently taking drugs, led to his suspension. He was recently cautioned by police for possessing a class A drug.
Meanwhile, Johnny Briggs, who played Mike Baldwin in 'Coronation Street' until April, is set to return to television. The 72-year-old is due to appear in a two-part Holby City special on BBC One next month. Johnny Briggs, who spent thirty years working on the cobbled streets of Weatherfield, had been expected to retire and spend most of his time at his home in Florida.
