Snow Patrol favourites to scoop Choice Music Prize

Snow Patrol have been announced as 6/4 favourites to scoop the Choice Music Prize by official bookmaker to the awards Paddy Power.

Snow Patrol have been announced as 6/4 favourites to scoop the Choice Music Prize by official bookmaker to the awards Paddy Power.

The awards will be judged by media personalities including 2FM’s Rick O’Shea and Stuart Clark from Hot Press Magazine.

Other acts nominated include The Immediate, who are also up for recognition at this year’s Hope for 2007 Meteor Award at 3/1, Duke Special at 7/1, David Kitt at 16/1 and Republic of Loose the outsiders at 20/1. The awards ceremony will be held in Vicar Street on February 28.

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “Snow Patrol are the obvious favourites for the success they’ve had home and away, however Julie Feeney surprised everyone last year when the judges opted for her over Bell X1 so it’s all to sing for at the moment.”
