Blade Runner gets director’s cut treatment

Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic gets a whole new look in Blade Runner Director’s Cut (Warner, €21.99), a specially remastered and digitally restored edition which will only be available for a short time in the shops.

Set in the future high-tech city of Los Angeles, this film enthralls with its stunning special effects, dazzling camera work and a cast that includes Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young and Daryl Hannah.

Visually, this is a true work of genius, seen to best effect in this new edition.
