Madonna 'adopts an entire country'

Madonna paid a visit to 50 children in an orphanage in Malawi yesterday, after dismissing speculation she is set to adopt a child.

The Hung Up superstar, fresh from completing her world tour, insists she is in the country to set up a care centre for up to 4,000 orphans - and is seeking advice from those she hopes to help.

Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg said yesterday, after dismissing the adoption reports: "She's kind of adopting an entire country of children."
