Axl Rose arrested in Stockholm

Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose was arrested in Stockholm today after allegedly biting a security guard in the leg outside his hotel after a concert.

Rose was being held in prison on suspicion of attacking and threatening the guard as well as causing damage to the Bern’s Hotel, where the alleged scuffle took place, said police spokeswoman Towe Hagg.

Hagg said Rose was intoxicated when the scuffle broke out shortly before 8am (7am Irish time), and would face questioning after he sobered up.

“He was deemed too intoxicated to be questioned right away,” she said.

After he is heard by police, a prosecutor will decide whether to press charges against Rose, Hagg said.

It was unclear what caused the fight with the security guard, but a witness told Swedish tabloids the guard tried to intervene when Rose started arguing with a woman in the hotel lobby.
