Disgraced British rocker Gary Glitter will return to a Vietnam court next month to appeal his sentence for child molestation.

The 62-year-old singer, real name Paul Francis Gadd, was found guilty of molesting two girls aged 11 and 12 in a Vung Tau, Vietnam, court in March.

However, Bui Ngoc Hoa, head of the People's Supreme Court of Appeals in Ho Chi Minh City, has confirmed Glitter is to appeal in a one-day trial on June 15.

Glitter has maintained his innocence since his November arrest, claiming he was giving English lessons to the local youngsters.
