West to play second Cork gig

Kanye West will take to the stage for a second concert at this year’s Live at the Marquee Cork 2006.

The second gig - announced today after his first date sold out in minutes earlier this month - will take place on Monday, July 3.

Tickets for the fully-seated gig will go on sale on Thursday next, May 25.

Hip-hop icon West will join Bob Dylan, Christy Moore, David Gray, Art Garfunkel, Roger Waters, The Frames, Robert Plant, Roxy Music and Des Bishop at the event of the summer.

Live at the Marquee Cork 2006 will take place over two weeks from June 23 - July 7.
