Osbourne to host British talk show

Rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne is set to host a live chat show on British television network ITV1.

The channel wants the talent show judge to spearhead a ratings war with fellow talk show host Paul O'Grady, who currently has his own show in the same time slot on the Channel 4 network.

Osbourne's attempts as a talk show host in the US failed in 2004 when The Sharon Osbourne Show was cancelled after less than a year because of poor ratings.
