Minogue parties in New York

Kylie Minogue has made a return to the party scene, hitting New York where she is staying at the same hotel made famous by Russell Crowe's phone-throwing tantrum.

The singer has been living it up in the Big Apple while a guest at the Mercer Hotel.

She was yesterday seen braving the rainy Soho streets to check out the latest fashions at designer Marc Jacobs.

Her shopping trip was followed by her first night out in months - a good bop at the Scissor Sisters concert.

The singer, still in recovery from breast cancer, smiled and waved for the cameras as she stepped out of the Mercer Hotel in a short '60s-style dress.
