Apt certification for a dismal comedy about the joining together of his (Quaid) eight kids and her (Russo) ten kids.

The plotline isn’t original, there have been several versions of the similar Cheaper by the Dozen, and even, as the sub-plot here has it, of children trying to break up parents: here the gangs combine to try to wreck their new-found lifestyle.

It’s a pity that such a decent cast should find itself in such an unimaginative film full of seen-em-before gags and directed in a careless, throw-away style.
