Lennon's walrus school notebook up for auction
A school exercise book in which John Lennon jotted down ideas that ended up in The Beatles' song I Am The Walrus is to be auctioned in London next month.
The 10 page book was titled My Anthology by the-then-12-year-old Lennon, and is full of drawings and poems. It contains a sketch of the Walrus from Lewis Carroll's The Walrus And The Carpenter.
Auctioneers hope the memorabilia will fetch around £100,000 (€146,000) when it goes on sale at the British capital's Madame Tussauds museum.
Louise Cooper, of auctioneer Cooper Owen says: "It shows how artistic he was."
