U2 surprised at Grammys triumphs

Irish rockers U2 had prepared themselves to go home empty-handed from the Grammy Awards ceremony, in which they scooped five gongs as the major winners of the night, they said today.

Guitarist The Edge said the band members had discussed how they would react if they did not win any of the five categories they were nominated in before last night’s star-studded bash in Los Angeles.
