Gallagher pays respects to 'cool' Best
Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has paid tribute to George Best by saying the late soccer superstar was cool enough to play in the Wonderwall band.
Gallagher was devastated to hear his friend Best died of multiple organ failure on November 25, and fondly remembers him as both a sporting legend and a style icon.
He says: "Georgie transcended football. He was called the fifth Beatle and he looked cool. He owned a nightclub and a clothes shop and drove a Ferrari.
"The only thing he didn't do in his life that was cool was play music, and he probably would have been good at that, too."
