Church criticises new drinking laws

Welsh pop sensation Charlotte Church fears Britain's new 24 hour drinking laws will cause a rise in the number of teenagers hospitalised with alcohol poisoning.

The Crazy Chick hitmaker, 19, who is famed for her binge-drinking lifestyle, claims to be a reformed character.

But she insists extended drinking hours are only appropriate for "people who know their limits".

She says: "For teenagers it's not good. It'll be a mess. Many more stomachs will be pumped.

"I used to go mad but I know how to stop now."
