There is, it’s said, a thin line dividing comedy and tragedy so here we have Lohman playing a journalist investigating the break-up of a famous comedy team many years before; they had an airtight alibi, neither was ever actually accused but they were finished.

Reason was that a girl was found dead in their hotel room.

It could be a tale straight from the pages of showbiz history since many similar scandals have dogged the famous.

It is a well-constructed mystery in which Lohman is particularly good as she seeks the facts behind the fiction.
