Sound of music reborn in anniversary collection

Two editions of The Sound of Music (Fox, €24.99, €34.99) mark the 40th anniversary of this musical extravaganza about the lives of the Von Trapp family, with Julie Andrews charming the aloof Christopher Plummer.

The single edition has commentary by director Robert Wise, and another by Andrews and Plummer. You can also sing along to the many hit songs in a karaoke section.

In the Collector’s Edition you get a second disc, there’s a documentary on the real Von Trapps, several documentaries and featurettes — a chance to meet the stars 40 years on.
