Jay Kay to retire?

Charismatic Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay is planning an imminent retirement from the music industry - in favour of a quiet life with a wife and children.

The Virtual Insanity hitmaker became disillusioned with recording and performing with his funk band while promoting new album Dynamite.

And now the singer, famous for his flamboyant collection of headwear, wants to hang up his hat for good and settle down with a family.

He says: "There are other things I want to do with my life after spending 15 years doing this.

"I like what I do and I have made myself a good living. But I just don't like the c**p that goes with it.

"I want peace and quiet and to meet a nice girl and have some little pitter-patterers (children) and chill out."
