Stars turn out for 'Irish Oscars'
Ireland’s answer to the Oscars will be staged in Dublin tonight, with a host of Hollywood and home grown talent in attendance.
The Irish Film & Television Awards promises to be a night of glitz, glamour and excitement with Liberty X performing live at the ceremony in the RDS.
OC actress Mischa Barton, whose mother Nuala is Irish, will be flying in especially to present a key prize.
Irish actress Sinead Cusack and Oscar-winner Vanessa Redgrave are also confirmed to attend alongside a host of other stars including Andrea Corr, Samantha Mumba, Kerry Katona, Caprice and Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay.
Acclaimed actor James Nesbitt will host the show, with veteran actor David Kelly receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Some of Ireland’s most glamorous ladies will also be stepping out in style at the Awards.
O2 TV Personality of the Year nominees Grainne Seoige will be wearing a stunning gown by Irish designer Sharon Cunningham and Paisean Faisean’s Aoife Ni Thuairisg will be donning a Vera Wang creation on the night.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on RTE One at 9.30pm and will include all the red carpet highlights.
