Russell returns in futuristic thriller
It seems to be the week for special editions. John Carpenter’s Escape From New York SE (Momentum) is a fine action film, centring around Air Force One crashing into Manhattan, now a penal colony.
Can Snake Lissken (Kurt Russell) save the president and get the hell out of there alive? Carpenter contributes an audio commentary and there’s also a Return to Escape From New York featurette among the extras.
