Bacon and Firth consider comedy dates

Actors Kevin Bacon and Colin Firth made such a good comedy double act in new period movie Where The Truth Lies they're thinking about going on tour.

The pair play fictional post-World War II comics Vince Collins and Lanny Morris in the new Atom Egoyan movie, and admit they didn't realise they'd make such a good double act.

Their chemistry was such that they managed to ad-lib workable comedy routines on the set that had crew members and castmates in stitches.

Firth wishes he and Bacon could find the nerve to visit select comedy clubs with their act.

He tells Canada's Toronto Star newspaper: "It would have been fun to have the time and the guts to do that sort of thing.

"We fantasised about getting an act together. We had a pretty easy crowd (on

set) paid a lot of money to laugh at us very loudly. I don't know how we'd go down with a hostile crowd. But they had us convinced that we had something going."
