Stones kick off American football season in style

The Rolling Stones kicked off the new American football season in style last night by performing live in Detroit, Michigan - the prospective home of the 40th Super Bowl in February.

Wearing a red satin coat and matching top hat, Mick Jagger began the celebration with their hit Start Me Up as footage of football heroes flashed up on a massive screen behind him.
