Rapper Kanye West has vowed to stick to music instead of politics after he publicly slammed US President George W Bush for the government's response to last week's Hurricane Katrina.

Rapper Kanye West has vowed to stick to music instead of politics after he publicly slammed US President George W Bush for the government's response to last week's Hurricane Katrina.

Instead of reading a scripted piece from a teleprompter on telethon A Concert For Hurricane Relief, West blasted Bush and the media for their portrayal of African-American survivors of the hurricane, saying: "If you see a black family it's looting but if it's a white family they are looking for food… George Bush doesn't care about black people."
