Rapper Kanye West has vowed to stick to music instead of politics after he publicly slammed US President George W Bush for the government's response to last week's Hurricane Katrina.

US TV network NBC has distanced itself from Kanye West's comments, after he blasted US President George W Bush during Friday's broadcast of A Concert For Hurricane Relief.
