Marcia's kitchen relief

Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross is thrilled future husband Tom Mahoney enjoys cooking - as she hates spending time in the kitchen.

The flame-haired 43-year-old initially feared Mahoney expected a domestic goddess, but he soon put her mind at rest.

She says: "When Tom and I started dating I got very anxious because he'd come over and I'd feel that there should be food on the table for him - and there just wasn't.

"I was getting really upset and then one day he just sat me down and said: 'Honey, this isn't the 50s - I'm a grown man.' And we've been cooking a bit together since then, which is fun."
