Avril apology good enough for Ashlee

Pop star Ashlee Simpson has forgiven Avril Lavigne for nasty comments the Canadian made about her singing ability after her infamous lip-synching on US TV show Saturday Night Live, because she has since apologised.

Simpson reveals she confronted the pop punk at a party and asked her about comments she made suggesting Simpson "didn't deserve" to be on the SNL stage if she relied on backing tapes.

Simpson says: "I won't say anything bad about anyone, even if they talk about me.

"I hung out with Avril once and I said to her: 'Hey, I heard that you said some things,' and she was like: 'Sorry,' and that was cool.

"I'm not in high school and I don't need drama."
