Gervais: 'I'm not desperate for Hatcher'

Ricky Gervais has hit out at reports he is "desperate" to sign actress Teri Hatcher to appear in the second series of his new TV comedy Extras.

A British Sunday newspaper claimed the comedian was so keen to recruit the Desperate Housewives star he had personally called her to ask her to appear.
