Box challenge for Big Brother housemates

The Big Brother housemates brought new meaning to the term "living in a box" today as they embarked upon a fresh challenge.

This morning, Big Brother put 11 large cardboard boxes around the house, each labelled with a housemate’s name and photo.

The contestants were challenged to stay in their box for as long as possible - with just a few essentials like a water flask, mint cake, compass, torch and condom.

But the activity became a bit much for Science and Kemal, who immediately started arguing.

Kemal openly revealed his fears, saying: “I don’t like it, I want to get out.

“Can we smoke? What’s this? What’s this little camera thing? Oh my god it’s a light for my head. We might be here ’til night.”

But Science was the first to get fed up and leave his box and he got revenge on Kemal by pouring water through his peepholes.

Throughout the challenge, the housemates have to show they are okay by waving a flag for the cameras every 15 minutes.

And Big Brother will be tempting out the housemates with various treats like a luxury breakfast, messages from home, a food hamper and shopping.

Last night, loudmouth Lesley was the second contestant to be evicted from the house.

The 19-year-old Huddersfield sales co-ordinator said she had had an “awful” experience and insisted she was “happy” to be leaving.
