Crowe's marriage plans

Russell Crowe is so determined to make sure his marriage to Danielle Spencer lasts, he's eyeing his parents long-standing union as a "template" of how to behave.

The 'Gladiator' star had an on/off relationship with Danielle for 14 years, before the couple tied the knot in December 2003. However, the Oscar-winner is glad he waited until they were both ready before popping the question, as he's now convinced their wedding vows will remain unbroken.

His own parents have been married 45 years and he says that probably inspired him to wait as long as he did - because he absolutely wanted to make sure that he only did it once. "And, so far, it's going OK", he added.
