Avril: 'Ashlee's lip-sync nightmare was a warning'

Avril Lavigne has applauded Ashlee Simpson for lip-syncing on live TV because she feels sure the embarrassing incident will make other artists think twice before miming.

The Canadian pop punk, who insists she always sings live, believes Simpson's lip-syncing nightmare last year on US TV show Saturday Night Live was a warning to other pop prima-donnas who lack the talent to perform live.
