Arquette: 'Critics are jealous of actors'

Rosanna Arquette has learned to shun scathing reviews of her movie performances, because she's convinced critics are just jealous of film stars.

The Pulp Fiction actress admits she used to pay close attention to the media coverage of her movies, and her ego would take a major knock if the words were not complimentary.

However, Arquette now believes many critics are failed film stars - and take out their bitterness on the lucky few who made it.

She says: "Criticism really used to hurt me. Most of these critics are usually frustrated artists, and they criticise other people's art because they can't do it themselves. It's a really disgusting job. They must feel horrible inside."
