Actress Andie MacDowell was baffled to see rumours she was Charlie Chaplin's illegitimate daughter when once she surfed the internet.

The Four Weddings and a Funeral star partly blames herself for the spread of the report because she had the chance to deny it when it first broke - but thought it too bizarre to comment on.
