A much-acclaimed Australian award-winner with an outstanding central performance from Cornish, playing a troubled young woman unsure of her growing sexuality ... she ought to have read Kinsey!

It is a well-constructed and finely balanced coming-of-age story, written by Shortland, in which Cornish's character cannot decide between sex and love, and isn't helped by an uneasy relationship with her mother.

At a holiday resort, to which she runs, the young girl meets an equally uncertain young man and together they face their fears.

Cornish and Worthington, the young man, pull off remarkably mature performances and Shortland directs a most interesting film with style.
