Music mogul Simon Cowell is British TV's top earner after amassing a massive fortune of $34.2m (€25.4m) last year.

The 45-year-old's pay has set a record amongst celebrities in Britain, superseding his fellow X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne's salary by $20.9m (€15.5m).
