Historic history

There's a strong Irish flavour to several of the Hollywood classics being placed in the Stateside Library of Congress National Film Registry.

The registry is for American films of historic and cultural significance.

It includes Liam Neeson's WW2 epic Schindler's List, while Ben Hur - which starred Stephen Boyd - is also included.
