Di Stefano returns to Italy after attack
Italian tenor Giuseppe di Stefano has been flown home to Milan, following an attack on holiday in Kenya which left him in a coma.
The 83-year-old retired singer and his wife were attacked outside their villa in Kenya, 440 kilometres from capital city Nairobi on November 30.
Di Stefano arrived back in his homeland after leaving Mombasa last Wednesday.
The star, known as The Maestro, underwent two operations at the city's hospital before flying back to Europe.
His wife had to have 16 stitches to her head at the local hospital in Diani where the family has a villa.
