Boyband Zoo will perform at seven schools across Ireland as part of the prize in a Halloween appeal in aid of the ISPCC.

A total of 10,479 children from over 250 schools nationwide supported the appeal raising in excess of €17,000 for the ISPCC.

Seven schools were chosen from dozens which entered to have the band perform at their school.

The schools and dates are:

Today:1pm:St Pauls Special School, Beaumont, Dublin

Monday 10am: South Abbey National School, Youghal, Co. Cork

Monday 1pm: Kilcredan National School, Youghal, Co Cork

Tuesday 10am: Gaelscoil Cluain Meala, Clonmel, Co Tipperary

Tuesday 1pm: Killenard National School, Portarlington, Co Laois

Thursday 10am: Kingsland National School, Boyle, Co Roscommon

Funds raised by the children will now go to Childline, Mentoring (a programme for children whose lives are affected by drugs, alcohol or social isolation), Leanbh, a child begging project and CRIB, providing information to children on their rights.

It will also help the ISPCC's Childhood Support Workers, providing help and support to children and their families in local communities throughout Ireland, and Children’s Consultation Unit – giving young people an opportunity to have their say.

ZOO have performed with Westlife and at gigs including O2 In The Park, with Blue, Girls Aloud and Brian McFadden as well as at the Mitchelstown Music Festival in Cork alongside rap stars Eamon and Coolio.
