From Pixar, the clever people who brought us the brilliant computer-animation Finding Nemo, the two Toy Stories and Monsters Inc. comes another vastly entertaining tale of a comeback hero.
Sidelined to an obscure desk-job, the once mighty Mr Incredible (Nelson) frets his way through the days, with a homely wife (the wonderful Hunter) and two annoying kids.
Have his days of saving the world passed him by?
No.
He may have a pot belly, but there is still a place for heroes; and this one readily springs back into action. And this time he brings the missus and the youngsters to help see off the baddies.
It’s all quite engrossingly entertaining, full of clever dialogue and witty asides - actually, it’s more for the adults than for the kiddies - and the animation is, as with all Pixar films, stunningly inventive.
