Bale's relative repulsed by new role

An elderly relative of Christian Bale's was so repulsed by the actor's latest movie Machinist, she begged him not to show the film to anyone.

The American Psycho star's role as a starved insomniac has thrilled critics, but his wife Sibi's aged grandmother was far from impressed with the actor's super thin frame in the film when he staged a family screening.
