The future's orange for 'tanned' celebs

TV star Cat Deeley has been voted Britain’s most orange celebrity.

TV star Cat Deeley has been voted Britain’s most orange celebrity.

The CD:UK presenter’s tangerine tan outshone the likes of EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace and bronzed Bargain Hunt host David Dickinson.

The poll of 1,000 people was carried out by the makers of Terry’s Chocolate Orange.

Deeley’s devotion to St Tropez fake tan earned her top place in the poll.

Dale Winton was voted into second place for his day-glo look, followed by pop star Christina Aguilera.

Dickinson was fourth, just ahead of perma-tanned football pundit Terry Venables.

Former Wish You Were Here presenter Judith Chalmers, famed for her mahogany-coloured skin tone, was sixth.

Jessie Wallace, aka EastEnders’ Kat Slater, came seventh for sporting a tan which fashion gurus Trinny and Susannah described as “a beacon of orangeness”.

Jordan pipped rival Jodie Marsh to eighth place and the final spot in the top 10 went to Italian Nancy Dell’Olio, whose tan may even be real.

Terry’s brand manager Jo Greenaway said: “The response to the poll was so overwhelming that we are thinking of running it every year so celebrities can keep track of how ‘apeeling’ they are. We are celebrating their contribution to all things orange.”
