Ed Harris takes on broadway

Pollock star Ed Harris is to make his debut as a Broadway, New York, director next year when he takes charge of pal Sam Shepard's Fool For Love.

Harris, who starred alongside Shepard in The Right Stuff has yet to announce his cast for the play, which will open in February at the American Airlines Theater.

The Oscar-nominated actor won an Obie Award when he starred in the off- Broadway premiere of the drama in 1983.
