Based somewhat on a true story this little 'horror' has become a surprise stateside hit. It cost a mere $130,000 to make and it has earned over $25m; this year's Blair Witch!

The story concerns Daniel (Travis) and Susan (Ryan) who are on holiday in the Caribbean. At the end of a scuba dive they surface to find their boat has taken off without them, thanks to a botched head-count.

They are left alone in shark-infested waters; it's a pity they weren't left with a decent screenplay to cling to.

The chief characters, with whom we are presumably required to sympathise, enlist no support from us, no desire on our part to feel something for the stranded couple. Neither Travis nor Ryan manage to come across as people we should feel sorry for.

In short, the film isn't really all that interesting!
