Madonna kicks off European tour with sell-out gig

Pop icon Madonna will kick off the European leg of her world tour in Manchester tonight.

All 14,000 tickets for the Material Girl’s first UK performance as part of her Re-Invention Tour sold out within an hour of going on sale in May. She will perform two shows in the city’s MEN Arena before playing five in London and one in Dublin. She will then move on to play the remaining dates in mainland Europe.
