Film Board launches film test programme

Bórd Scannán na hÉireann/The Irish Film Board (BSE/IFB) today launched a free test screening programme whereby producers and distributors can avail of using test audiences to guage reaction to their films.

This free service is now available to co-financed BSE/IFB feature films.

"This forms part of BSE/IFB's policy of ensuring that Irish features films connect with Irish and international audiences," the board said in a statement.

The aim of the test screening is to allow producers and distributors obtain unbiased feedback from their target audience, generating information that can help to exploit the full sales potential of a project and to develop a successful marketing and distribution strategy.
