Jamelia eyes American music industry success

British singer Jamelia is planning to unleash her talents on the American market.

The beauty, 23, is already bolstered by the fact hit series 'Queer eye for the straight guy' has used her single as its theme tune, and is hoping to capitalise on the success.

She explains: "I think Americans can be a bit snooty about British artists, but I embrace the fact I'm from the UK and I don't attempt to do American-sounding R&B.

"I do think I'm different enough to make it - or at least I'll try. It's definitely going to be next year. It's a territory that's its own little world and I'm so excited it's a possibility."
