Over-40 stars strip off for new movie

Kim Basinger and Mimi Rogers will be the latest members of the over-40 brigade in Hollywood to bare all in their new film, The Door in the Floor.

Rogers, the 48-year-old first wife of Tom Cruise, is seen in a full frontal shot in the film based on a John Irving novel.

She admits it was “a little scary”, but she had company from Basinger. “The thing that’s cool about this movie is that Kim and I both have a lot of nudity – two hot ladies over 40,” Rogers says with a laugh. “We’re going to set the industry on its ear: ’Don’t forget about us, boys.’"

"And Kim, she’s like freakishly beautiful. It all helps reinforce the idea that age doesn’t have that much to do with beauty. Over-40 is a state of mind.”

As for the leading man, Jeff Bridges, he takes his clothes off as well, and he’s no spring chicken. But Rogers says: “He deserves the Oscar for his performance in this movie. He’s spectacular.”
