De Burgh invests in Alien

Chris de Burgh has spent nearly £30,000 (€44,900) on buying the chest-bursting Alien from the classic sci-fi film.

The latex dummy was seen bursting from John Hurt's chest in the 1979 movie. The singer bought it at a London auction, where frantic bidding for the lot, described by the auctioneers as "an iconic piece of science fiction film history", more than doubled the expected price.
